My last name is pronounced "pie."

Born and raised in NYC, I am heavily influenced by the stories of people from all backgrounds and beliefs. My artwork is inspired by the spectrum of eccentric people and experiences I've encountered, as it is a perpetual practice to seek and discover beauty in all forms.

 

A few of my favorite painters include Alice Neel, Jenny Saville, and Lucien Freud. I also enjoy Alphonse Mucha, Egon Schiele, Chuck Close, and John Singer Sargent.

When I'm not creating, I am archiving, researching, and promoting access to historical records. Past and current workplaces include School of Visual Arts Film Library, Special Collections & Archives at Queens College Library, and The New York Public Library.
